Carl Friedrich Gauss

Carl Friedrich Gauss
was a mathematician and scientist most famous for proving the fundamental theorem of algebra, for revolutionizing number theory and differential geometry, and for his contributions to magnetism. Conveniently, GAUSS is an acronym for Graduate And Undergraduate Student Seminar, which is at 4:30 on Tuesdays in 114 MLH.
